Laraine’s appetite for cultural expression via food was nurtured from a young age living in a Portuguese, American, & Spanish rich environment on the East coast. She was always the first in the kitchen to help her grandma and mom cook (& sample) when the sounds of dinner prep rang. Her passion for food was solidified after graduating The Art Institute of Seattle in 2002.
For over 10 years now, Laraine has worked beside some of the food greats in the restaurant/catering world of Seattle, WA, along with side jobs in personal catering, cooking and instructional classes.
A life altering discovery in Laraine’s life recently lead to a dietary change that has caused her increased understanding into the world of food allergies, healthier cooking and purposeful eating.
